CANADIAN IMMIGRATION OPTIONS AFTER June 2010
CANADA IMMIGRATION:
NEW CHANGES IN IMMIGRATION POLICY CANADA (26th June 2010)
- Cap (limit) of 20,000 applications per year
CMI Fellows SHOULD note for clients applying under one of the 29 eligible occupations, that a maximum of 20,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing each year. Also, within the 20,000 cap, a maximum of 1,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing each year. The first year began on June 26, 2010 and will end on June 30, 2011. Subsequent years will be calculated from July 1st to June 30th.
CIC has indicated that it will stop processing additional applications once the cap is reached. In this case, CIC will advise the applicant in writing that their application will not continue and refund their processing fee.
- Exemption to 20,000 limit
The cap or limit does not apply to those individuals applying under the Federal Skilled Worker program with an Arranged job offer (AEO) pursuant to subsection 82(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations.
Mandatory language test
Mandatory language tests are required for all skilled worker applications. Previously, applicants had the option of proving their language ability via a written submission. Citizenship and Immigration Canada now only accepts designated third-party language tests as proof of language ability – no exceptions.
- Canadian Experience Class
Canadian Experience Class applications received by the designated Citizenship and Immigration office on or after June 26, 2010, must be accompanied by the results of the principal applicant’s English or French language proficiency assessment.
1. Federal Skilled Workers:-
Total marks 100, Pass marks 67. Education maximum 25 Points, English Language 16 Points, French 8 Points, Experience 21 Points, Age 10 Points, Arrange employment 10 Points, Adaptability 10 Points. Application fee of embassy is 550 Can $ (Principal applicant) 550 Can $ (Spouse) & 150 Can $ (Children under 22) Process time 6 to 9 months. As per the new policy announced on 26th June, 2010, only those applicants falling in the category of 29 occupations can launch there application with all documents including IELTS. Complete application will be forwarded to Canada, after the verification phase you may be asked to take an interview, than you will be asked for the Medical and need to show maintenance funds for yourself as well as for the on successful interview. You need to deposit 490 Can $ Landing Fee / adult. After that visa will be stamped on your passport.

Those applicants whose occupations are not falling in the above list; should proceed through job offer arrangements OR PNP. According to new criteria applicants will be served on first come first serve basis as there is a cap of 20,000 applicants to get immigration @ 1000 maximum per occupation.
2. Investor Category:-
Can $ 400,000 to be deposited in Canadian bank for 5 years against which no interest will be paid. You must have a total of Can $ 800,000 Net Assets. Alternatively you have the other option to deposit Can $ 120,000 in Canadian bank & balance Can $ 280,000 will be financed by the bank, but in that case the deposited Can $ 120,000 is Non Refundable as the bank will deduct the interest and financial charges up front from deposited Can $ 120,000. Administrative Pause - No federal Immigrant Investor application will be accepted unless it is post-marked or received by the designated CIC office before June 26, 2010. This pause will extend until the coming into force of proposed regulatory amendments to the definitions of “Investor” and “Investment” applicable to Business Immigrants in Division 2 of Part 6 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations.
Quebec – The province of Quebec has its own Immigrant Investor Program therefore, the processing of applications for permanent residence for investors selected by the province will continue as usual.

3. Entrepreneur Category:-
You have to establish business in Canada of at least Can $ 300,000. A proper business plan is required for it. (For further details personalized meeting with consultant is required). 4. Temporary Work Permits, PNP Programs:-

5. Immigrant Investor Program:-
The Government of Canada is proposing new eligibility criteria for the Immigrant Investor Program. These proposed regulatory changes would require new investors to have a personal net worth of $1.6 million, up from $800,000, and make an investment of $800,000, up from $400,000.

Then afterwards you will be invited for the interview, than you will be asked for the medical on successful interview, than visa will be stamped on your passport

DENMARK
Danish Green Card
The Danish Green Card Scheme allows you to live and work in Denmark. If your score is at least 100 Points you can obtain a Residence Permit valid for up to 3 years, which is extendable for up to 4 years, In addition, you will be able to bring your immediate family along. UNITED KINGDOMS (UK)
General Skill Category
(Sub class 175) Pass marks are 120. Pool marks are 100. Age 30 Points, Skill 60, 50, 40, IELTS 15-25 Points, Specific employment in your profession from 3 to 4 years 10 Points, Australian working experience of 1 year, 10 Points, Australian qualification 5- 25 Points, Occupation on demand MODL list 15-25 Points, Designated language 5 Points, Partner skill 5 Points, State or territory govt. nomination (sub class 176,886,475 or 487) 10 Points, designated area sponsorship by relative (sub class 475 or 487) 25 Points.
First of all skill assessment is required from the relevant skill assessing authority, a draft in the name of relevant skill assessing authority of A$300-500 depending on the skill assessing authority is required, Assessment will take around 2 months.
On positive assessment report application will be launched whose fee is 2105 A$. After launching the application process will take around 6 months. Total process time for Australian immigration is around 8 to 10 months.
Business Class Category
A$ 750,000 investment is required which is to be deposited for 4 years in the designated bank. If you are interested in establishing business than you must have at least A$ 400,000 to establish business in Australia. (For further details personalized meeting with consultant is required).

Step 1: Fill and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) form. This includes information on things like your skill, education, experience, family circumstances, and all of the factors for which you are claiming points. EOI fee is NZ$ 500.
Step 2: Your EOI goes into a pool in which it is ranked alongside other EOIs. Every fortnight EOIs are selected in sufficient numbers to meet the NZ Residence Programme (NZRP) targets. First EOIs with 140 points or more are selected from the pool, secondly EOIs with 100 to 135 points which include points for a skilled job or job offer in NZ are selected from the pool, and if there are further places available more EOIs can be selected using criteria set every six months by the minister of immigration.
Step 3: If your EOI is selected, the information in it will be checked. You may be asked to supply evidence of some of your claims at this point. If your EOI passes these checks you may be invited to apply for residence. You than have 4 months in which to collect your documentation and get your application for residence in.
Step 4: Deposit the application fee 1400 NZ $, supporting documents, medical test, and police certificate. You may be asked to attend an interview at an immigration NZ branch. If successful in your application you will need to pay the migrant levy 300 NZ $ each person to a maximum of 1200 NZ $ for a family. Then you will be issued with residence visas or permits for you and all the family members included in the application.
Investor Category
For migrants investing NZ $ 20 M in NZ including at least NZ $ 5 M in active investment. Professional investor category for migrants investing NZ$ 10 M in NZ including at least NZ$ 2 M in active investment. General investor category for migrants investing NZ $ 2.5 M in NZ $ who have additional NZ $ 1 M for settlement funds.
